Struggle with addiction can manifest in different ways, and our approach to treatment is individualized, considering your needs and your personal journey.
Our specialists are experienced with both Twelve step and non-Twelve step approaches to addiction treatment. Together with our clients, we work toward harm reduction or abstinence. With us you get to define and reshape your journey and you will experience a warm, welcoming, and a no-judgment approach to your struggle. Here you are not defined by your dependence to substances or other addictive behavior, you are respected and valued as an individual lightening their road to a happy and healthy life.
Depression can dampen light and decrease ability to find joy in life. If you are dealing with changes in your appetite, sleep, lack of motivation, are experiencing suicidal thoughts, or have low energy, help is only a phone call away.
Our skilled therapist will support you through different techniques including both evidence and strength based, psychodynamic, and mindfulness to restore the lost motivation and inner strength.
Although a moderate level of anxiety can be helpful in day to day life, unhealthy anxiety can be limiting and counterproductive. In therapy, you will learn to attend to your anxiety and separate the voice that is telling you to do something, from the noise that overwhelms your nervous system.
As human beings, we all experience trauma at some point in our life. However not all of us develop PTSD. Trauma is not defined by the incident. It lies in our response to an event and is a subjective experience. Sometimes there is shame associated with symptoms of trauma, as we judge and invalidate our painful experiences. It is important to know that trauma happens on a spectrum. Trauma can result from experiencing sexual or physical abuse, witnessing or experiencing a terrifying incident, combat or any other event that impacts our ability to respond effectively to it. Regardless of the experience, our therapists have extensive experience in treating trauma utilizing variety of approaches including: Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Brain spotting, Internal Family System (IFS), Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) and Somatic Experiencing to help clients alleviate symptoms like panic attacks, nightmares, flashback, depression/ anxiety and many more.
Not being able to express who you really are, or leaving part of you in shadow at all times can be very stressful. Needing to abdicate part of your humanity to be able to find acceptance is limiting and discouraging. It is crucial to find a space that is safe and allows you to explore your dreams without being judged or misunderstood. If you experience marginalization and anxiety, we are here to provide you with a unique experience of positive regard and what it feels to be accepted for who you are.
Therapy for Teens
Childhood and adolescence is filled with changes, adjustment and pressures. Number of mental health concerns are on the rise for teens and adolescents, including depression and anxiety. Social Media, peer and academic pressure and more recently social isolation created by pandemics caused many to look for relief in video games, substances and other negative coping skills.
Connecting to a caring and compassionate therapist, can help your child to learn more adaptive coping skills and find fulfillment in healthier activities and overcome negative self talk.
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a powerful modality that helps manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, eating disorder and chronic pain. Ketamine Assisted Therapy helps to get to the root of the problem unlike traditional antidepressant, and facilitate healing.
Ketamine opens the door to psychedelic exploration which allows individuals to explore past events, challenging life experiences and traumas in a less fearful and more open state of mind. When ketamine is paired with therapy in a structured, safe and non judgmental space, you will be able to connect to, and understand your experiences so that you can process those more effectively.
At Pacific Integrative Therapy, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy is being used to facilitate healing with a compassionate and highly trained psychologist in a warm and welcoming space.
Client’s eligibility will be assessed by a third party medical provider and is a separate procedure from our practice.
