I am a psychologist dedicated to helping adult clients navigate challenges including anxiety, depression, PTSD and complex PTSD, addiction, grief, attentional difficulties, psychosis, and issues related to career, relationships, and identity. My approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from humanistic-existential psychology, interpersonal psychotherapy, expressive arts, Adlerian theory, and behavioral treatments such as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
I earned my PsyD from the APA-accredited clinical psychology program at the Chicago campus of the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have trained and worked in community mental health settings for over seven years, which has given me extensive clinical experience with individuals holding a wide range of intersectional identities. I practice cultural humility, critically reflecting on my own worldview while honoring the lived experiences of others, to ensure treatment is culturally relevant and aligned with each client’s values.
As a clinical supervisor, I aim to support both client care and clinician development. I have over two years of post-licensure experience supervising and leading teams of mental health professionals. I have also taught graduate-level courses including Trauma & Crisis Intervention, Clinical Interviewing, Advanced Group Therapy, and Humanistic-Existential Psychology.
Beyond clinical work, I am actively engaged in scholarship. I have published multiple psychobiographies, including a study on Ida B. Wells in the International Journal of Psychiatry. More recently, I wrote a book chapter for the International Handbook of Emotions that explores the relationship between jealousy, guilt, and depression. In my personal life, I practice Tai Chi daily; it brings me joy and helps my nervous system remain rooted as I work to support others.
