As a clinical counselor, I am passionate about bridging the gap between physical and emotional healing, and the impact past experiences have on present day beliefs, behaviors, and relationships. Through the creation of a safe and healthy relationship within a therapeutic setting, my goal is to help individuals establish a stronger sense of self rooted in nervous system regulation and implementation of clinically sound resources proven to reduce the intrusive nature of presenting mental health concerns.
Throughout the therapeutic process, individuals will explore the lifespan to create a greater understanding of the presenting patterns of behaviors, thoughts, and emotions that have become most distressing, to promote a state of healing. My therapeutic approach utilizes Adlerian, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, to address matters surrounding anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction, and other significant life transitions. Through a client centered lens, I assist individuals in regaining control over facets of life that have felt stagnant.
I received my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan and achieved a Master’s of Science Degree in Clinical Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. I have worked in community mental health within the greater Boston area, and at addiction treatment centers in San Diego County.
